Democrat governor “joking” about suspending elections?

Yesterday, the Democrat governor of North Carolina, Bev Perdue, called for the suspension of the upcoming elections so that politicians can, “just let them help this country recover.”

Needless to say, this set off quite a media frenzy, especially coming on the same day that Barack Obama’s former budget director, Peter Orszag said, “we need less democracy.”

After the uproar over Perdue’s statement had quieted down a little bit, a statement was released that claimed the governor was “joking.”

Below is the audio of her speaking. I will leave it to you to decide if she was joking or not …

Please, let me know, what do you think?  Does that sound like she was joking?

This nation is drugged. We slumber, content in our reality-TV dreams and FM-radio driven sameness. We worry more about a label on our clothing than the men and women we elect. We care so little for our children that we dope them up, sit them down in front of televisions, send them to failing schools and let them run wild ... all so they don't disrupt our brain-dead slumber. Our lack of effort shows in everything we do. We must wake up ... if only to fight the enemy as long as we can. It may be too late.

Well OF COURSE she was joking…. unless anyone agrees with her…. oh, they don’t? Then she was joking! Seriously? Nobody else thinks she’s onto something? Nobody??? That’s because she was joking! It’s so obvious! I mean, unless you agree with her…..

The sick thing is, I think a lot of leftists agree with her. You can bet your bottom dollar Obama does … only way he stays in the White House.
